about me & this website

hi, welcome to my website! i'm cypress (he/they), a college student from the united states studying biology. i am queer (aroace & transmasc) and have two cats whom i love dearly. i hope for this site to become a digital journal for me to write about my thoughts and interests in and come back to them later, and maybe to connect with other people as well.

i first decided to make this website after the great tumblr update disaster of march 2026, when i decided i needed a contingency plan in case something similar happened again but for real. this is my first experience making websites or coding in general, and i've really loved getting to build this website from the ground up and learn as i go. the title of this site is inspired by one of my favorite songs, tide pools by pigeon pit. you should go listen to it!
